Most people check their vehicles on the same day when they are intending to travel. But this is totally wrong. You must get your car ready two days before and keep an eye on it during these two days. Below are tips and steps to follow to get your car ready for a trip.
Change the engine oil if it is time to change it or do check the oil level two days before your trip. Then check it another time on the day before you get set for your trip.
Measure or change the transmission and power steering fluids and fill up the windscreen washer.
Check the water levels of the car two days before your trip and on the same day before you travel.
Inspect the tyre pressures and check the spare tyre to make sure it is not flat or damaged.
Try the lamps of the vehicle to make sure they are working properly, and change those who are not.
Keep a bottle full of at least 2 litres of water and have a screwdriver to hand.
How to Protect the Glass of Your Car?
Do not turn the wipers on without spraying water as this can damage the glass due to the existing dust on it.
In case something was stuck on the glass, it is better to remove it with water.
Do not pour hot water on the glass as this may lead to break it due to the difference in temperature.
Beware of amplifiers with high capacity in the car as they may cause to break the rear glass.
