We are delighted to introduce you to Mr Nima Heidari, MBBS, MRCS (Eng), MSc, FRCS (Tr&Orth) Consultant Foot, Ankle and Limb Reconstruction Surgeon, member of the team at 108 Medical Chambers team at 108 Harley Street.

What is your speciality?

I am a consultant orthopaedic and trauma surgeon. I treat all conditions of the Foot and Ankle including sports injuries as well as arthritis. I also specialise in Limb Reconstruction. This involves correcting deformities in the lower limb including length discrepancy.

I offer joint preservation surgery for patients who have arthritis in their foot or ankle where they are too young or active for either fusion surgery of joint replacement. This is a recent and innovative technique to try and keep mobility in the foot.

Where are you based?

I am based at The London Sports Injury Clinic at 108 Harley Street. Patients requiring surgery will have that treatment either at Lister Hospital in Chelsea or BMI London Independent Hospital in Stepney Green.

My NHS practice is The Royal London Hospital. This is one of the largest and busiest trauma units in Europe where I am the chief of Foot and Ankle unit.

What is your availability?

I have regular clinics on Tuesdays and Friday mornings at 108 Harley Street. The team at the Front Office can contact me at anytime and urgent cases can be seen as required.

How successful are the treatments?

I have high patient satisfaction. I keep robust data on my operative reconstructive cases and all my patients undergoing surgery have their outcomes recorded and scored.

Any advice?

Foot injuries and arthritis have a profound effect on one’s quality of life. Correct diagnosis and treatment are essential for a good outcome.
